The German Mills Creek Project in Settlers Park was designed to re-route German Mills Creek to protect a critical sanitary sewer located next to the watercourse. R&M constructed a completely new channel, incorporating stone pools, riffles and vegetated stone bank protection to enhance the creek’s stability and natural flow. The team backfilled the old creek bed with material excavated from the new channel, restoring nearby high-traffic pathways to their original condition. This project successfully balanced infrastructure protection with environmental restoration.
